Getting Started With Your New Checking Account (2024)

Welcome to your new Total Access Checking account! Thank you for choosing to bank with us. As a local bank, we’ve built a checking account that supports the people who live here, regardless of where they are in their financial journey.

Our Total Access Checking account offers great benefits that are yours to use however you see fit — for spending money, everyday expenses, regular transactions, and everything in between. To help you get started, we’ve created a handy guide to introduce you to your new account and its features.

Enroll in online banking1
If you haven’t already, be sure toenroll in online banking. Grab your new debit card or have your account number handy, then head to the website of the branch where you opened your account. Click theLoginlink in the top right corner to access the Wintrust Digital Banking login screen. There, clickNot enrolled? Sign up nowto get started. Enter your account information, then create a user ID and password.

Now, you’re able to set up online bill pay, e-statements, and more for a seamless banking experience. Activate mobile banking by downloading our Wintrust Community Banks mobile app and entering this same login information on your device so you can bank wherever you may be!

Access remote deposit services
No time to visit the bank in person? No worries! Your Total Access Checking account makes it easy todeposit checks remotely1from your phone via the mobile app. All you have to do is select mobile deposit from the bottom menu, then snap a photo of the front and back of your check. Confirm the amount you’re depositing, give the details one last look, then clickApprove.

Send money fast, safe, and easy with Zelle®2
Zelle® is an easy way to send and receive money from friends, family, and people you know and trust. With just an email address or mobile phone number, you can use Zelle® to send money to almost anyone with a bank account in the U.S. Eligibility requirements may vary depending on where your recipient banks.

We have partnered with Zelle® to offer a unique experience to our customers. There is no fee for our customers to use Zelle®.

With Zelle®, funds typically arrive in minutes when the recipient is already enrolled. For recipients not yet enrolled with Zelle®, funds are available within minutes once the recipient enrolls. Dollar and frequency limits apply to all transactions. You can find more detailshere.

Never pay another ATM fee again3
Lucky for you, our Total Access Checking customers can use any ATM for free! Not only is your bank part of a broad network of surcharge-free ATMs you can take advantage of, but we also reimburse any out-of-network ATM fee you pay nationwide. The only thing to note is that reimbursem*nt does not include the 1.10% International Service fee charged for certain transactions outside the U.S.

Make your account safety a priority by enacting debit card controls today. To manage your preferences, head to the mobile app and click onQuick Actionsfrom the mainmenu and then click Manage Your Cards from the next menu. All of your eligible cards should automatically appear on the card details screen.

Manage bill payments
Wouldn’t it be nice tomanage your bill paymentsin one place instead of all across the internet? Wintrust Digital Banking can help.1

After you’ve enrolled in bill pay services through online banking (see Item 1 in this checklist), you can set up and manage your various bill payments through your Total Access Checking account. Just open the mobile app, click Quick Actions, and use the navigation bar menu to selectMake A Quick Payment. This menu is where you’ll add, edit, and delete bill payees.

You can either select from the list of available payees that generates, or click onAdd a Payee if that payee is not in the list yet.

To add a payee, under the Payments menu select Payees then select Add a Payee and enter the name of your payee — such as the name of your electric company or TV and internet services provider.

If we have payee information on file, you only need to enter the nickname and account number. If payee information is not on file, enter the payee’s nickname, account number, and address. Once all information is entered, clickDoneand you’re all set!

To edit or delete a payee, choose the payee from the list of existing payees, clickEditto enter updated information, then clickUpdate. Or tapDelete to remove payee.
